Arrival
in Brasil
- All
major international airlines have daily flights to Brasil.

The
dates of arrival and departure as well as flight numbers should
be communicated directly to the Summit Working Group. Please use
the required form (F
1A). This information should be forwarded (by post, fax or
email), before April 30, 2005 to:

- Authorities
who plan to arrive in Brazil aboard private or military aircraft
are required to fill out form F9
- AIR TRANSPORTATION OF FOREIGN AUTHORITIES IN PRIVATE PLANES FORM
- (one per aircraft). Delegations must also inform as soon as possible
the quantity of aircraft they will use. Form F9 must be sent (by
post, fax or e-mail) before April 30 2005 to:

Arrival
on private or military aircraft must also be informed through
form F9-A
- (OVERFLIGHT AND LANDING REQUEST FORM) which must be sent to
DSF-Ministry of Foreign Relations by fax (+55-61-223-4758) or
e-mail (dsf@mre.gov.br) at
least 96 hours before entry of Brazilian airspace. Participating
countries with Military Attachés to the Brazilian Government
can forward their Overflight and Landing requests directly to
the Office Chief of Staff of the Air Force.

The
Heads of State or Government will be greeted by the Chief of Protocol.
The formal meeting with the President of Brazil will take place
in the moments that precede the Opening Ceremony of the Summit.

A
Diplomatic and a Military Liaison will be assigned to each Head
of State or Government. They will assist the delegation and mediate
its contacts with the agencies responsible for the Summit.
- Only
the alightment of officials will take place at the Air Base. Loading,
unloading and refueling will take place at the International Airport.
- Between
the Air Base and the Airport, aircraft should, preferably, start
up the engines and taxi, instead of being pushed.
- The
Heads of State or Government, as well as the delegates that accompany
them, will board in the motorcades from the V.I.P. Lounge of the
Air Base. The vehicles of the officials participating in the Summit
will not enter the Apron under any circumstances.
- In
the case of the delegations which will use more than one private
of military aircraft, only the Head of State of Government will
land at the Air Base. The remaining aircraft will land at the Presidente
Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport.
- Delegates
that land in the International Airport will board their vehicles
from a part of the Airport to be determined.
- Participants
who arrive by international flights at the André Franco Montoro
(Guarulhos, São Paulo) or Antonio Carlos Jobim (Rio de Janeiro)
International Airports will be assisted with immigration and customs
formalities.
- In
order to facilitate the identification of delegates by airport authorities,
all participants are recommended to use the special luggage labels
that will be provided in due time.
- It
is extremely important that the Embassies appoint a person who will
be responsible for customs and immigration clearance.
Departures
- Should
the Head of State or Government use two aircraft, they will not
be allowed to remain in the Military Apron simultaneously. In order
to take off with the reserve aircraft, it will be necessary to wait
for the primary aircraft to taxi or to be pushed out of the Apron.
- It
is extremely important that the Embassies appoint a person who will
be reponsible for customs and immigration clearance.
- In
the case of comercial flights, the security procedures related to
the luggage will be determined by the air companies.
- The
boardings of the Heads of State or Government, as well as those
of the delegates that accompany them, will take place from the V.I.P.
Lounge of the Air Base. Other delegates will board from a point
in the International Airport to be determine
